Valentino Rossi is not the fastest rider during the three-day MotoGP test at Sepang Circuit. However, what Rossi achieved in these tests was satisfactory.
In the first two days, only Rossi finished fourth. Yamaha rider was then improve its position to third in the last day, just behind Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo.
After two disappointing years with Ducati, Rossi in Sepang achievement is certainly a positive sign. The Doctor was greeted with joy.
"I am very pleased. Three days is very good," said Rossi, who was quoted by Autosport.
"We worked hard on the motor and is growing day by day," he continued.
"The third day is the best. We can keep the difference is less than half a second compared to the pole position and improved his time, which was interesting," said Rossi.
"Today we finished third, which in theory means that there is in the front row. So, I am very happy with this first test," he admitted.
Meanwhile, Yamaha Team Director Massimo Meregalli, believes the results of these tests have reduced the pressure felt by Rossi in recent times.
"He has removed a lot of the burden off his shoulders," said Meregalli.
"I am very happy to see him finally get back on a motorcycle to her liking, which is something that he wants. I can not say more," he said.
