After two seasons without a win with Ducati, Rossi finally decided to go back racing for Yamaha, who once drove to four MotoGP world title.
With Yamaha, Rossi optimistic to appear competitive again in the 2013 season. But he kept trying to be realistic and consider themselves will still be difficult to compete with the defending champion and fellow team mate, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda, so that only the top three just launched.
"I want to win a lot of finish on the podium, at least 10, and finish in the top three world championships," Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport quoted by Autosport.
"Even if I do not win but it was on the podium every (race) on Sunday so it was okay. But a win would be nice," he said.
Even so, Rossi once again confirms how much he really wanted to come back to win the race, even he has not been able to do it again since October 10, 2010 and in Malaysia. "Yes. Goal is to win, which I could not accomplish since 2010," Rossi straightforward.
